(2018)
This work intends to explore and reflect on the political contexts of the notion of the colour white in relation to white supremacy, and contemporary Western art galleries. Added into this is an attempt of poetics and metaphors with quantum physics, mixed in at times with pseudo-science – the latter of which has often been used in discourses justifying bigotries in public context in recent times. The forest location is situated in the forest of Te Waonui a Tiriwa (Waitākere Ranges, Auckland) and is intended as a juxtaposition to the discourses around whiteness and the artificiality of colonial modernity.
